After the Wedding Crashers and her superb performance in The Notebook, everybody was waiting for Rachel McAdams' career to take off. For some reason, she shunned 2007 (save for the upsetting Red Eye) and went out somewhere to reflect about life and everything. BUT the pretty actress will be back with a vengeance this coming 2008. Apparently Rachel McAdams has four films (yes, FOUR!) coming out next year, and these movies are already generating buzz this early. First off is The Time Traveler's Wife with Eric Bana then State of Play with Brad Pitt and Edward Norton. Notice the hotshot actors she's working with! Definitely a sign that Rachel is moving up Hollywood's A-list ladder =) The actress is also in the Married Life and The Lucky Ones. In the latter, Rachel McAdams stars alongside Tim Robbins and takes on the role of Collee, a US soldier on a mission to bring her dead boyfriend's guitar back to his family. Rachel as a soldier?? This better be good! Lol!

It’s confirmed, the most romantic lovers ever to hit the silver screen in recent memory has separated in real life. Rumors started April this year that Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams have broken up. However reps from both sides pooh-poohed the idea, saying the two were just having a time off from each other and enjoying their momentary singlehood. The two first met in the blockbuster romantic film The Notebook where Ryan Gosling constantly fought Rachel McAdams offscreen. But to their chagrin, they ended up dating, and have been going steady for more than two years until their supposed breakup. Well, it isn’t “supposed” anymore as Ryan recently confirmed to USA Today that, yes, they had indeed broken up. Fans were sad but it seems that Rachel McAdams is so over it as she was always spotted on the set of The Time Traveler's Wife chatting up with her costar Ron Livingston. Is there something going on between these two?? Stay tuned! Anyway, The Time Traveler's Wife is Rachel’s new movie opposite Eric Bana. They are currently filming in Toronto.
Rachel McAdams joins “State of Play” October 1, 2007
The beautiful “The Notebook” actress joins the already impressive cast of the Kevin MacDonald-directed film adaptation “State of Play”. It was recently announced that Rachel McAdams, Helen Mirren and Robin Wright Penn would join topnotch actors Brad Pitt and Edward Norton in the Universal Pictures/Working Title adaptation of the British miniseries. According to Variety, the film’s story will focus on a newspaper’s investigation of the murder of a congressman’s girlfriend. Rachel McAdams will play the newspaper reporter investigating the murder, Edward Norton will play the congressman, and Brad Pitt will play the former campaign manager of the politician who initiates the paper's investigation. Anyway, Rachel McAdams is currently filming with Eric Bana in the Robert Schwentke-directed “The Time Traveler's Wife”. And she just recently finished Neil Burger's “The Return” with Michael Pena and Tim Robbins. Hmm, the talented actress is certainly very busy this year. Will she be the next big Hollywood star??
